Creative Capital, the national venture dedicated to providing support to artists, has added five new members to its board of directors: Jane Brown, Michelle Coffey, Hasan Elahi, Bill Foulkes, and Penny Lane.
These additions brings Creative Capital’s board of directors to 24 members, representing various fields of arts and philanthropy. Brown, for instance, is the president of the Robert W. Deutsch Foundation, and Coffey, an executive director of the nonprofit Lambent Foundation. Elahi is an artist and educator, Lane is a documentary filmmaker, and Foulkes, a marketing consultant and faculty member at RISD.
In a statement, Creative Capital’s president, Suzy Delvalle, said, “These new members bring to the organization their relentless and visionary advocacy for artists, a deep commitment to the intersection of art and social justice, and a shared vision of the importance of investing in artists as catalysts for change.”
