The Institute of Contemporary Art Miami announced today that its board of trustees has three new members: Cynthia Fiske, Manny Kadre, and Elle Macpherson. The news comes a year ahead of the opening of the ICA’s new permanent space in the Miami Design District.
All three new board members come from a business background: Fiske is the director of the Cartier flagship store in Miami, Kadre is the chairman and chief executive officer of the automotive group Tri-State Luxury Collection, and Macpherson, who is perhaps best known as a supermodel, is the founder of the wellness site Welleco.
“As we look to the opening of our new permanent home in the Design District, the growing support from both the local and international community of art, philanthropy, business, and education leaders signals the important role of the museum in the region, as well as internationally,” Ellen Salpeter, the ICA’s director, said in a statement. “I look forward to working closely with our three new trustees, all of whom are deeply committed to enriching the cultural landscape in Miami and to supporting our rapidly growing institution.”
