Pictures at an Exhibition presents images of one notable show every weekday.
Today’s show: “Elevation 1049: Avalanche” is on view at various venues in Gstaad, Switzerland, through Sunday, March 19. The site-specific group exhibition, curated by Neville Wakefield and Olympia Scarry and produced by the LUMA Foundation, takes the 1970s independent magazine Avalanche as its starting point to respond to the wintry vistas of the Swiss Alps resort. Participating artists include Allora & Calzadilla, Yngve Holen, Ryoji Ikeda, Sarah Morris, Thomas Schütte, Superflex, and Nicole Wermers, among others.
