Dallas collector Derek Wilson and his wife Christen have donated $1 million to Duke Univeristy’s Nasher Museum of Art to support its endowment and build its collection. The gift is part of a larger donation to the university of $3 million from Derek and his father Gary, the other $2 million going to sports facilities. Both father and son went to Duke.
Derek Wilson serves on the Nasher Museum’s board of advisers, and is also a trustee at the Dallas Museum of Art, on Tate Modern’s International Council, and a member of the the Whitney Performance Art Board.
