This morning the Institute of Contemporary Art Miami announced its first ever shows, which will open on December 3, just in time for Art Basel Miami Beach.
The ICA, whose board is comprised of the former members of the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami, recently opened in a temporary space in Miami’s Design District, after a falling out with the city of North Miami. Its first exhibitions will present the artists Andra Ursata and Pedro Reyes, in an installation of his project Sanatorium (first presented at the Guggenheim Museum in 2011).
Both exhibitions will be curated by the museum’s deputy director and chief curator, Alex Gartenfeld.
