Today’s show: “Making Place: The Architecture of David Adjaye” is on view at Art Institute of Chicago until Sunday, January 3, 2016. This survey of the mid-career architect examines projects he has designed for Lagos, Nigeria, New York, Beirut, Lebanon, and London.
Hank Willis Thomas writes:
Having known David for a while I was most overcome by the breadth of his vision. It is so expansive, furthermore, it is astounding how much he has been able to get built all over the world at such a young age! We are witnessing something epic in the making. The first floor is like: “Wow!” The second floor is like: “Whoa!”
