Manuela Moscoso, senior curator of the Museo Tamayo in Mexico City, will curate the 2020 edition of the Liverpool Biennial, which is set to run from July 11 of that year to October 25 in the English city.
Moscoso previously worked on the 2014 edition of the Bienal de Cuenca in Ecuador and the 2011 edition of the Queens Museum’s Queens International biennial. Prior to joining the Museo Tamayo in 2015, she was director of Capacete, a nonprofit that hosts residencies in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for people affiliated with the arts.
In a statement, Moscoso said, “I am thrilled to be moving to Liverpool to start working with the talented team on the next edition of the biennial. It is a challenge and a great new context in which to set my mind, and my heart, at play.”
