STUART COMER
Ana Janevski has been promoted at the Museum of Modern Art to a new post as curator in the institution’s Department of Performance and Media Art, moving up from her previous role as associate curator. She has worked at the museum since 2011 and, during her tenure, organized performances by Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, Yvonne Rainer, and Ei Arakawa as well as “Projects” exhibitions by Akram Zaatari and Rabih Mroué. She also co-organized the 2015 exhibition “Scenes for a New Heritage: Contemporary Art from the Collection” and oversaw the acquisition of Simone Forti’s Dance Constructions (1961).
In her new position, Janevski will help shape the media and performance program for MoMA’s planned Diller Scofidio + Renfro–designed expansion, which will include spaces devoted specifically to time-based work as well as a gallery devoted to “Projects” shows.
