Pictures at an Exhibition presents images of one notable show every weekday.
Today’s show: “Noir: The Romance of Black in 19th-Century French Drawings and Prints” is on view at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles through Sunday, May 15. The exhibition brings together over 70 works on paper, all produced in shades of black, by some the 19th century’s greatest artists, including Georges Seurat, Edgar Degas, Odilon Redon, Goya, and Honoré Daumier.
