Pictures at an Exhibition presents images of one notable show every weekday.
Today’s show: “Portraits from the École des Beaux-Arts Paris” is currently on view at The Drawing Center in New York until June 28. Forty works have been chosen from the Beaux-Arts de Paris’s collection and each week a different set of four portraits is hung in a specially-built room located in the center of The Drawing Center’s Main Gallery. The exhibition covers 400 years of portrait and emphasizes work from live models.
