For the third year running, Storm King Art Center in upstate New York will offer a residency program, hosted in partnership with the Shandaken Project, from June through September. This year’s program, which largely remains unchanged from past years, will be bolstered by a generous grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation and the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. The Warhol funding will also be used to support Outlooks, an exhibition series at Storm King that invites an emerging or mid-career artist to create a site-specific sculpture that will be exhibited on the grounds for the season.
The application window is now open through February 13.
In addition, alumni from the 2016 residency, including Amelia Bande, Kristen Jensen, Zavé G. Martohardjono and Lachell Workman, will return to share their work with visitors to Storm King as part of the center’s Wanderings & Wonderings series. This program is free with admission to all Storm King visitors.
