The New York–based nonprofit RxArt has added two new members to its board of directors: Nancy Olnick, cofounder of Magazzino Italian Art in Cold Spring, New York, and TJ Parker, cofounder and CEO of the online pharmacy PillPack.
Olnick and her husband, Giorgio Spanu, opened Magazzino Italian Art, a nonprofit museum dedicated to postwar and contemporary Italian art, in 2017. RxArt is the charitable recipient of all donations to Magazzino. Olnick has previously served as a board member of Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School, the Museum of Arts and Design, the Israel Museum Acquisitions Committee, and the American Jewish Committee Women’s Leadership Board.
Though PillPack was acquired by Amazon last year for more than $800 million, Parker continues to serve as CEO of the company, which he established in 2013. He raised almost $200 million in financing for PillPack and grew the company to more than 1,200 employees. RxArt first worked with Parker through a corporate partnership, and, in 2016, the nonprofit awarded its first RxArt Innovation Award to him.
In a statement, RxArt founder and president Diane Brown, who is a member of the board of directors, said, “I am thrilled to welcome Nancy and TJ to the RxArt Board of Directors. They each possess a unique vision and expertise in their respective fields and I am certain they will provide invaluable insight as board members.”
RxArt’s board of directors also includes Neil Blumenthal, cofounder and co-CEO of Warby Parker; art adviser and collector Glori Cohen; technology entrepreneur Michael Laven; artist Rob Pruitt; Chris Salgardo, ambassador and former president of the cosmetic company Kiehl’s; and Cynthia Zabel, head of business development in North America for the Fine Art Group.
