Today’s show: “Takashi Murakami’s Superflat Collection: From Shōhaku and Rosanjin to Anselm Kiefer” is on view at Yokohama Museum of Art in Yokohama, Japan, through Sunday, April 3. The exhibition is the first public showing of the Japanese artist’s very large private collection. The collection focuses on Murakami’s concept of Superflat, which questions “What is art? and “rejects hierarchical divisions between different artistic genres or eras and frees artistic activities from definitional boundaries,” according to the show’s press release.
