Today in an official statement, the president of the Venice Biennale, Paolo Baratta, along with the curator of the 56th edition, Okwui Enwezor, revealed more information about the upcoming exhibition, including its title: “All The World’s Futures.”
“All The World’s Futures”—set to take place between May 9 and November 22, 2015—will be informed not by a single thematic thread, but rather, according to Enwezor in a statement, “a layer of intersecting Filters, these Filters are a constellation of parameters that circumscribe multiple ideas, which will be touched upon to both imagine and realize a diversity of practices.”
The three “filters” announced today are “Liveness: On epic duration,” “Capital: A Live Reading,” and “Garden of Disorder,” which sounds like a great name for a nu-metal band.
