The Broad museum in Los Angeles has added four new members to its board of directors. The news comes as the Broad celebrates its two-year anniversary.
Among the most notable new additions to the Broad’s board is Thomas Campbell, the outgoing director of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Campbell will temporarily be based in Los Angeles later this year when he starts several months as a fellow at the Getty Research Institute.
Also added to the museum’s board were the Sherry Lansing Foundation’s CEO, Sherry Lansing; the Broad’s founding director, Joanne Heyeler; and the Broad Art Foundation’s chief legal officer, Deborah Kanter.
In a statement, ARTnews “Top 200” collectors Edythe L. and Eli Broad, the founders of the Broad, said, “As the Broad celebrates its second anniversary, Edye and I are delighted to see the museum expand its board. The four new members reflect a wide variety of experience in industries including the arts, philanthropy, media, and business, and we look forward to applying their insights as the Broad looks to the future.”
