COURTESY THE SUNDAY PAINTER
This September, the Sunday Painter gallery in London will relocate from its current space in the city’s Peckham neighborhood to its Vauxhall district. In the new locale, the gallery will be in close proximity to Tate Britain as well as young galleries like Cabinet, Greengrassi, and Corvi Mora.
At 2,100 square feet, the Sunday Painter’s new space will be bigger than its current Peckham home. The new two-story gallery will be designed by architects from Sanchez Benton.
A show of new works by Baltimore- and New York–based painter Cynthia Daignault will inaugurate the Vauxhall gallery. It will be Daignault’s first exhibition in England, and it will include American nature scenes that reflect on the history of landscape painting.
