Philly.com reports that N. A. Poe and Chris Goldstein, two cannabis activists, will be hosting what they call a “pop-up weed garden” outside the Philadelphia Museum of Art this Thursday. The occasion is the two-year anniversary of Philadelphia’s decriminalization of marijuana, which went into effect on October 20, 2014.
In an invite posted to Instagram, Poe notes that the event is “B.Y.O.W.” “Refreshments and snacks provided, bring yer own fuckin’ weed,” Poe explained in a caption. It also asks that attendees not bring more than 30 grams of weed, as any amount above that exceeds the legal limit.
The event will take place on the museum’s steps starting at 4:20 p.m., because when else would this event start? Poe told Philly.com that he wants “more to do a garden party more so than bum rush the art museum,” and that he will do a press conference at City Hall earlier that day to prepare unaware visitors.
