UOVO, the “premier provider of collections management services and state-of-the-art storage facilities,” according to a press release, has appointed Douglas M. Woodham as president of the company, effective immediately. Woodham will be responsible for managing strategic initiatives to improve UOVO’s service.
In the same release, Steve Guttman, founder and chairman of UOVO, stated:
“I am very excited that we have been able to attract someone of Doug’s expertise and experience and feel his addition as President and Partner is highly complementary to our leadership team. Doug is a great strategist who understands brands and brand building and will play a key role in the development and implementation of our growth strategy.”
Woodham previously served as president of Christie’s Americas, which achieved record sales and profit reports during his tenure in 2013 and 2014. Woodham also currently serves as co-chair of the American Fellows patron program at the Whitney Museum.
In a statement, Woodham commented:
“I am thrilled to join UOVO’s team of experts. As a collector myself, I identify with and appreciate UOVO’s clients’ commitment to their collections and the financial resources they invest in their collections. The position marries my lifelong love of art and collecting with my passion for working directly with clients.”
