The nonprofit philanthropic arts organization VIA Art Fund has announced its fall 2015 grant recipients, who received a combined total of $190,000.
In recognition of work that falls within VIA’s three core values of “artistic production, thought leadership, and public engagement,” the grant-recipient projects are:
In a press statement, Bridgitt Evans, VIA’s president and cofounder, said her organization’s goal is to be “neither an institutional nor a private funder.” Rather, she said, “VIA offers an innovative philanthropic model for collectors, patrons, and art enthusiasts to engage directly with artists and curators, and provides a national versus a regional reach for our donors.”
